    • The Panasonic VIErA  TH-L32E30A   is a 32″ LED offering from Panasonic. At 32″ the TV is perfect for any smaller living room or bedroom. Being of a smaller size, it has reduced power requirements, but still performs admirably in every other department. The TV does not include 3D, but if you are like me, this is not too much of a loss, as personally, I’m extremely unlikely to miss it. The TV provides everything you’d expect from this premium brand, including a 4,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a variation of picture modes and plenty of input options.

    The TV is full HD and offers up a solid picture, however, not in vicinity of the more expensive models. The average TV user though, should not have any issues. Compared to similar priced TV’s, the Panasonic VIErA  TH-L32E30A is of similar quality, if not better. Like pretty much all new TVs the Panasonic is incredibly easy to set up and mostly does most the work itself after you click just a few buttons.

    The TV also includes an electronic program guide as well as a built in PVR. This PVR is excellent and works better than most on the market. The TV also includes some internet TV capabilities such as youtube, ABC iView ect and most others you’d expect.

    Overall, I think the Panasonic VIErA  TH-L32E30A is a solid TV offering from Panasonic and if you are in the market for a 32″ TV, then this one will fit the bill perfectly and you should be able to get it at a great price.

    • In recent years Samsung has probably taken over Sony as the number one TV maker, however Sony is still offering up quality products, including their Sony Bravia range. For years Sony has be offering up amazing products with superb build quality and the Sony Bravia range is certainly no exception. The EX520 Series comes with Sony’s X-Reality picture engine which includes advanced image processing which gives optimum colour and contrast levels depending on each scene. The Sony Bravia KDL46EX520 offers up an excellent clean and crisp looking picture with no visual blur when watching.

    The Sony Bravia KDL46EX520 also contains Sony Internet TV which allows for TV catch up through services such as ABC iView as well as Yahoo7. It also allows includes all of your favourite social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. It includes 20+ internet TV channels, which promises lifestyle and entertainment channels, however, I’m assuming these aren’t premium channels or shows. However, one strong point is the ability to download unlimited music through Sony Entertainment Network for a small monthly fee.
    One downfall of the Sony Bravia KDL46EX520 is that it does come with 3D capabilities. However, by skipping past the 3D aspect, Sony has been able to make an excellent TV at a very affordable price. The picture is full HD 1080 which is also edge LED backlight which allows for the whole TV to be quite small in size. Being LED also means it will have a lower power consumption then a same sized Plasma television.

    The TV will look brilliant in any living room space, if you are looking for a TV under 50inches and don’t mind missing out on 3D, then the Sony Bravia KDL46EX520 is certainly a TV to consider.

This set is good , picture is perfect. no ‘chugging’ on ours.. blacks are black , lowlights are detailed and no crush in the highlights.     Big Brown Box - I recently purchased a Sony BRAVIA KDL46EX520 46″(117cm) EX520 Series Full HD LED LCD TV. The display on this TV is excellent. I purchased it because it was a low energy option compared to plasma TV’s.     • The Samsung PS51D550 promises to be the perfect TV for those who are looking for a top quality TV with the best new TV technology, but don’t want to break the budget. This TV is part of Samsungs 2011 range therefore it benefits from the extra screen room that most Samsung TV’s came out with last year. Overall it’s about an inch difference from older models, but not having a large bezel surrounding the TV means it creates a stunning looking TV. The TV is also inbuilt with a 3D converter which can turn any 2D movie or show into 3D, which at this price is quite rare. The 3D itself works well, obviously not as good as high end models, but for this price, I can not fault it.

    The Samsung PS51D550 has great connectivity and you won’t be short of space. It includes 4HDMI inputs meaning you will be able to enjoy all your favourite multimedia tools on your TV, from Xboxs to Blu-ray players. The TV is also full HD 1080p to give it a realistic rich picture quality.

    Plasma TVs have lost momentum lately as more people rush to LED TVs as well as LED and LCD hybrids. But, the Samsung, really stands up as a Plasma TV. The picture is beautiful and it even packs in some solid sound. Aesthetically the TV is attractive and thin and would easily be placed upon any wall mount.

    The Samsung also includes all of the SmartHub features. Including the ability to share between your TV, Laptop, Cameras or Phone which all adds to the Samsung experience. This works well to share movies or music from a PC onto the TV if you want to create the perfect home theatre experience. However, one downfall, is the Samsung PS51D550 does not include Samsungs brilliant Smart TV online services. If you want this, maybe try a higher version such as the Samsung UA55D8000.

    Overall, I think the Samsung PS51D550 is an extremely solid plasma TV that won’t break the budget. If you are looking for a TV to just watch movies and play games, this is perfect. If you are looking for high quality 3D performance or online features, you may be slightly disappointed.

    • It’s hard to find a site that is unbiased and objective with television reviews; you never really know what information to trust and who they are profiting for with their TV review. So how do you know which TV to buy if you can’t trust the television reviews.

    It is probably best to read television reviews from people who have bought that TV so you are able to evaluate which TV to buy or the best flat screen TV; instead of reading LCD TV reviews, HD TV reviews or LED TV reviews from websites that have affiliation with electronic manufacturers.

     

    So here are some things to consider when searching for your ‘plasma screen TV’ or ‘cheap flat screen TV’ etc.:

     

     

    1. All of the new televisions on the market are now digital TVs and have digital tuners. This means they all receive digital television signals and HDTV signals over the air or with a cable box.
    2. Always consider sound quality. This is especially important if you are not planning on using an external sound system. It is also a bonus to make sure that the TV you require has an audio output and a digital audio output, in case you want to hear surround sound or plan on using an external sound system; you don’t want to rule out that opportunity.
    3. Pay attention to your required televisions format. All standard TVS are in 4:3 formats, whilst high definition comes in 16:9 formats. If you are someone who likes to watch their TV in high definition this is something you should definitely be considering. Definition formats make it particularly difficult to watch a DVD with higher or lower content of that of your television. This results in a smaller image size, letterboxed and extremely difficult to see the images on the TV screen.
    4. Research all your choices and features available. These days a TV LCD or other new TVS are becoming highly attractive because of the technology they offer and the dropping prices. New high-tech televisions offer a range of features that may interest your viewing preference of TV viewing, so always look at the features available.
